The city issued a permit Tuesday for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority to build its new administration building in the LaVilla area of Downtown.
The five-story building will be constructed at 74 Johnson St., next to the new Greyhound station, which was completed and began operation in April.
The permit shows the building to be almost 67,000 square feet. JTA announced previously the interior space would be more than 40,000 square feet.
The almost 10,000-square-foot Greyhound Intercity Bus Facility was the first phase of the $57.3 million Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center and the JTA administrative offices is the second phase.
