1990 Folsom, located in San Francisco’s Mission District, will be a 100% affordable 143-unit development co-developed and owned by TNDC and the Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA). The 143 units of affordable housing will be targeted for families earning between 30-60% AMI, with 25% of units set aside for residents relocating from the HOPE SF development. The development will include a laundry room, two community rooms, ample outdoor space, tenant services offices, management offices, and 134 bike parking stalls. The roof outdoor space will focus on urban agriculture programming, which will produce healthy fruits and vegetables for residents at no cost.
In addition to the residential core, the development will boast approximately 9,000 square feet of production, distribution, and repair (PDR) space for local arts organizations, and approximately 5,000 square feet of affordable childcare. The commercial space on-site is targeted for non-profit and community-serving tenancies, with an emphasis on identifying tenants who will provide affordable services to residents and neighbors.
