Fairforest Middle School
Construction has started at new school site, tucked off Lincoln School Road just before Oakbrook Preparatory School. At a cost of about $52 million, the school — set to open in August 2019 — will be built to hold up to 1,100 students, about 200 more than the current Fairforest Middle population.
The new Fairforest Middle will total about 230,000 square feet. The cost of the school, which is being built without a tax increase, will likely be paid off four years after the building opens in 2019, district officials said.
